Careers Education and Guidance

Career counseling at The Cambridge High School, Abu Dhabi aims at providing students a strong foundation by guiding them through the transition from youth to adult members of the society in order to ensure them a bright and a secure future. By exposing the students to different perspectives, the career counseling service supports the efforts of the students in choosing the right subject options. Students are motivated to be focused on improving their academic performance and developing their strengths. Our Career Education and Guidance Programme includes:
a) Presentations are made to the Year 12 and 13 students by university personnel which break into question and answer sessions allowing students to bring forth their queries. The education professionals also meet the students individually. Education professionals from the following universities are invited to the school each year :
• Canadian Universities
• Australian Universities
• British Universities
• Emirates Academy
• Les Roches from Switzerland
• Abu Dhabi University
b) Year 12 and 13 students visit Universities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai along with the School Career Counsellor to experience learning and witness the scope of the desired subjects.
c) Guest speakers from the school community are invited to make presentations to our students on a variety of career and vocational options.
d) Parents are invited through the year to meet with teachers and the senior management regarding the latest trends in education and to discuss the academic and developmental progress of their children.
